Can GlyNAC Reverse Aging? The Mouse Evidence vs Human Evidence
PMC โ GlyNAC Mouse Longevity Study ยท 05/10/2026 ยท added by men35 desk

A mouse study found that GlyNAC supplementation increased lifespan by approximately 23.7%. Human studies have reported improvements in several aging-associated markers. The critical question is whether those findings can be translated into longer, healthier human lives. At present, they cannot.

Researchers fed GlyNAC to C57BL/6J mice beginning at 65 weeks of age.
The mice receiving GlyNAC lived approximately 23.7% longer than controls.
That is a striking result.
But it happened in mice.

Human GlyNAC trials have focused on markers and functional outcomes such as glutathione, oxidative stress, mitochondrial function, insulin resistance, strength and cognition.
They have not demonstrated that GlyNAC extends human lifespan.

Think of longevity evidence as a staircase:
Cells โ animals โ human biomarkers โ clinical outcomes โ lifespan.
GlyNAC has interesting evidence at several early levels.
It has not yet reached the final human-longevity level.

The mouse result makes GlyNAC worth studying.
It does not make GlyNAC a proven human longevity supplement.

A 23.7% increase in mouse lifespan is scientifically interestingโnot a forecast of what will happen to humans.
